3 Things You Didn’t Know About Our Hotel in Sevierville
We talk quite a bit about our Sevierville hotel and everything you should know about us, like our fantastic location, beautiful farmhouse theme, and more. But, there are some things you may not know about us, and we want to share them with you! Here are 3 things you didn’t know about our hotel in Sevierville:
1. Our Hotel has a Rich History.
The property our hotel sits on has been in our owner’s family since 1925. Back then, it was referred to as The Oaks Farm. Named after 5 oak trees that Dr. John W. Ogle planted in his yard, the original farm house is still standing across the street from our hotel where Dr. Ogle’s grandchildren work to this day. When you step into our lobby, you’ll immediately notice that the hotel has been built to pay tribute to the farm, Dr. John W. Ogle and his wife, Blanche, as well as life in Tennessee. There is local art that depicts farm life and the Great Smoky Mountain area on the walls, but you’ll also spot Ogle family photographs. You’ll love staying in a place that has such deep roots in the Smokies!
2. We’re Right Next to Other Five Oaks Experiences.
Staying at our hotel in Sevierville is just one piece of the full Five Oaks Experience! Located on the same property as the original Five Oaks Farm is Five Oaks Farm Kitchen right next door. It’s an absolutely beautiful restaurant that is based on Granny Blanche’s kitchen and the hospitality that her and Dr. Ogle dished out to friends, family, and weary travelers over the years. Another Five Oaks experience you’ll find right next door is Five Oaks Riding Stables that allows you to take a horseback ride around the property, or you can fly through the air on their ziplines! You can also stop in at Ogle Brothers General Store, which includes a Farmer’s Market like setup, an in-house potter, and much more! You’ll love the entire Five Oaks experience while you stay with us!
3. Our Hotel is Home Away from Home.
Our hotel in Sevierville isn’t big or flashy, but it is exactly how we dreamed it would be: feeling like home. We wanted our Sevierville hotel to exude the luxury of a larger hotel but with personal touches. We welcome you every morning to a complimentary breakfast and provide freshly baked cookies in the afternoon. You can kick back on one of our sofas in the lobby, or check out the fire pits by the pool for a relaxing time after a day of shopping and exploring. Our rooms are all filled with hickory furniture, local art, and even custom made beds that are the coziest you’ve ever slept in. We have everything you’ll need for a perfect vacation, but most importantly, staying with us means checking in as friends and checking out as family!
Now you know a little more about us and what sets us apart from the other places you should stay on your Smoky Mountain vacation. Are you ready to plan your next trip? Look through the rooms at our hotel in Sevierville, and book one for your getaway today!
