3 Things You Didn’t Know About Our Hotel in Sevierville
If you’re planning a trip to Sevierville and the Smokies, take a minute to read over 3 things that you might now know about our hotel and a few reasons why we think you would love being our guest and calling The Lodge at Five Oaks your home away from home!
Our Hotel is Rooted 100 Years Deep in Tennessee History
Our property has been in our owner’s family since 1925 and was his grandparents farm, The Oaks Farm. Named after 5 oak trees that Dr. John W. Ogle planted in his yard. The original farm house is still standing across the street from our hotel and Dr. Ogle’s grandchildren and great grandchildren work from the rooms of the home daily. When you step into our lobby you’ll immediately notice that the hotel has been built to pay tribute to the farm, Dr. John W. Ogle and his wife Blanche as well as life in Tennessee. The walls are filled with local art, family photographs and more. Come on in, take a look around and make yourself at home!
The Lodge at Five Oaks is Just One Piece of the Five Oaks Experience
Staying with us is just one piece of the full Five Oaks Experience! Located on the same property as the original Five Oaks Farm is also the Five Oaks Farm Kitchen that is next door to our hotel. It’s an absolutely beautiful restaurant that is based on Granny Blanche’s kitchen and the hospitality that her and Dr. John W. Ogle dished out to friends, family and weary travelers over the years. The area also includes the Five Oaks Riding Stables that allows you to take a horseback ride around the property as well as our sister hotel the Oak Tree Lodge. The newest addition, currently set to open in early 2020, will be the Ogle Brothers General Store and will include a Farmer’s Market like setup, an in-house potter and much more!
A Home Away From Home
Our Hotel isn’t big and it isn’t flashy, but it is exactly how we dreamed it would be and it does feel like home. The journey of our property becoming The Lodge at Five Oaks began in November of 2017, so everything you experience is relatively new and designed in a way that gives you the luxury of a larger hotel, but on a more personal experience. We welcome you every morning to a complimentary breakfast and provide free fresh baked cookies in the afternoon. You can kick back on one of our sofa’s in the lobby and rest by the fireplace while watching television. There are fire pits out by the pool for a relaxing time after a day of shopping and exploring. Our Rooms are all filled with hickory furniture, local art and even custom made beds by Brothers Bedding just down the road in Knoxville, TN. We have everything you’ll need for a perfect vacation, but most importantly, staying with us means checking in as friends and checking out as family!
