3 Best Restaurants in Sevierville TN for Lunch
A trip to Sevierville and the Smoky Mountains isn’t complete without at least a few great dining experiences! A lot of folks already have a favorite spot for breakfast and dinner. However, what about lunch? Grabbing a good lunch is a great way to fuel up for a full day of exploring all that the area has to offer! Here are three of our favorite local spots!
Five Oaks Farm Kitchen
Located next door to our Sevierville hotel is one of the most loved restaurants in the Smokies. The Five Oaks Farm Kitchen not only serves up amazing down-home southern dishes but the inspiration behind the menu and property is linked to the history of our Five Oaks property. Our owners’ grandparents purchased the farm in the 1920’s and turned it into a home that was filled with love and traditions. Dr. John Ogle spent his days caring for patients all around the Smokies as he traveled to their homes on horseback. His wife Blanche was not only a loving and devoted wife but also a mother and a wonderful cook. Her dishes often warmed the spirits of her family as well as travelers passing through. Today, by dining at the Five Oaks Farm Kitchen you can experience her legacy and a menu that is packed with some of the best southern dishes in east Tennessee. Lunch is served up from noon until 4p.m. The selection of sandwiches include thick-cut fried bologna, pulled pork, chicken salad and chopped brisket that’s topped with some smoky sweet BBQ sauce. One of the most loved items available is the cornbread salad. If you’re looking for some comfort food, try an order of the chicken and dumplings or vegetable soup. There’s a wide variety of classic farm fresh sides, dishes from the smokehouse. Fill up on an order of meatloaf, chicken casserole or fried chicken if you’re planning on having a late dinner. Vacations are perfect for times of indulging, so make sure you save some room for an order of banana pudding or a handmade farm-sized cinnamon roll!
Holston’s Kitchen
As a hometown favorite, Holston’s Kitchen is loved among both locals and guests to the area. Away from the hustle and bustle of the strip, Holtson’s is a very laid-back spot that serves up high quality menu items for lunch and dinner. They also offer an option for grabbing an express lunch every Tuesday – Friday. You can grab and go or enjoy an in-house meal that won’t take up a lengthy amount of time. It’s the perfect spot for having lunch before exploring area attractions, shopping or visiting the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Their menu is packed with great options like their Urban Nachos, a Munchie Board, Creek Sliders, fried green tomatoes, a strawberry chicken salad, catfish, Hawaiian ribeye, shrimp fajitas, and much more! Have a sweet tooth? Try the Big Orange Soak Cake or a slice of their towering chocolate cake that’s perfect for sharing!
Joe’s Crab Shack
Folks seeking a lunch that is filled with comfort food but with a seafood focus will enjoy Joe’s Crab Shack. Located just across the parkway from us, Joe’s is a great little spot for a laid-back meal. Their lunch menu includes a 10 under $10 selection that includes mahi mahi tacos, a coconut shrimp basket, fish and chips, creamy clam strips and even an all American burger if you’re not feeling like enjoying some grub from the sea. Order a lunch snow crab bucket for a good balance of super sweet crab mean, corn and potatoes. With other items like gumbo, salads, chicken options and a gluten sensitive menu tossed in, everyone in your party is sure to find something that they’ll enjoy!
