A stay with us, is an opportunity to truly experience the Smokies!
Be Inspired by the Five Oaks Love Story
Our hotel is based on the Five Oaks Farm that was once located on our property. A farm that wasn’t just another farm in Tennessee, but a farm that was built on the roots of a beautiful love story. Our owner’s grandparents, Dr. John W. Ogle and his wife Blanche first started calling the land home in 1925 and during their time at the Five Oaks Farm, they were a reflection of the love story that many hope to have in life. Dr. Ogle was a medical doctor that served his community but also provided for his family and loved his wife and children. His very beloved wife Blanche was a devoted wife, mother, and friend. They raised four children on the farm and instilled in them values that have rippled out to today and will continue to flow through generations. During your time with us, you’ll have the opportunity to learn more about their life on the farm, as well as the love that they shared and poured into others. You’ll find a stunning custom painting by the very talented Robert Tino in our lobby. The painting is Dr. John W. Ogle and Blanche in front of their farmhouse that still stands today and is still property of their family. You’ll also find family photographs in our cozy seating area of the lobby. And, if you dine at the Five Oaks Farm Kitchen, you’ll see photographs from their days on the farm and be treated to some of the most delicious food in the Smokies, the same types of food that Blanche would have served you if you were guests on the farm.
